Organisation: Youth Cancer Trust
The Youth Cancer Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young people living with and beyond cancer, is seeking a passionate and experienced Freelance Fundraiser. The ideal candidate will spearhead our digital fundraising initiatives and grant applications process to help us continue our important work.
This position is a remote freelance role, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a significant difference in the lives of young people affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage innovative digital fundraising strategies to reach and exceed fundraising goals.
- Identify and apply for appropriate grant opportunities, managing the entire process from research to proposal writing, submission, and follow-up.
- Cultivate relationships with potential donors through effective communication and engagement strategies.
- Analyse campaign performance and donor data, adapting strategies as necessary to optimize results.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising trends and the non-profit sector.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and ethical standards pertaining to fundraising in the non-profit sector.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising with a proven track record of securing grants and successful digital fundraising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in proposal and grant writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, including donors, board members, and team members.
- Proficient in the use of digital tools and platforms for fundraising, as well as data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of fundraising regulations and ethical guidelines.
- A self-starter with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Experience in the healthcare or non-profit sector is a plus.

The Youth Cancer Trust is a national charity providing secure online support services and therapeutic wellbeing holidays to young people (aged 14 to 30) living with and beyond cancer. We aim to improve their quality of life and help reduce isolation during and beyond their cancer journey.
