Inspiring amputee boxer, Rob Franks, aka ‘One Legged Warrior’ was due to take part in Box Beats Cancer in March. Part of a White Collar Boxing event, the wheelchair boxing match was set to be the first of it’s kind in Dorset.
Speaking on an ITV news interview Rob said he was really looking forward to taking part, the report further talking about the confidence and sense of community for participants, whilst also raising money for Youth Cancer Trust.
When the event was unfortunately cancelled, Rob found a unique way to continue his fundraising, by creating his own range of t-shirts. The profits from each sale will go directly to Youth Cancer Trust, to provide support and free holidays to teenagers and young adults with cancer.
“I started the business purely by accident” says Rob. “I love designing and I thought I would share a few designs for my Warrior Apparel brand. People started asking me if I sold them on t-shirts and hoodies and it all evolved from there. The whole reason I did this was to raise money for Youth Cancer Trust, I know the current situation has hit them hard. As an amputee I love to take myself out of my comfort zone and this has certainly done that. I would love to see people wearing my designs, knowing I’m helping a wonderful charity”
