The Youth Cancer Trust is delighted to be charity of the year for the Texel Sheep Society.
The Society hope to include fund raising at some of the events they will be attending during the Show & Sale season, at Royal Shows and a variety of NSA Sheep events and of course their own four National Shows & Sales in August and as a finale a charity raffle/auction at the AGM in November.
4 Nations Challenge
Texel Sheep Society Director Graham Hill will undertake a unique 4 Nations challenge to raise funds for the Youth Cancer Trust in August, September & October 2015.
Graham will be running a total of almost 65 miles, 45 miles of which are pure mountain. There is a half marathon in NI, a 2 hour deadline to reach the summit of Ben Nevis, 4419 feet high, before the challenging descent in Scotland, then he will have just 5 days to recover from the 17 mile Exmoor Stagger before running the Snowdon Marathon.
