Birmingham based Ecorys UK raises £10,093 for Youth Cancer Trust!!
Staff from the Birmingham based international research and consulting company Ecorys UK have cooked, walked, dressed and run their way to supporting the charity.
During 2014 staff walked the Malvern Hills, held a Fancy Dress Friday, competed in the Tough Mudder run, staged two international food days and put on a chocolate afternoon, which all helped to raise £10,093 for the national charity.
Managing director of Ecorys UK, Chris Ralph, presented a cheque to the Youth Cancer Trust as part of World Cancer Day, on behalf of the 100 people employed at Ecorys UK’s headquarters on Edward Street in Birmingham city centre.
Chris said: “As a company Ecorys is committed to corporate social responsibility and we encourage our staff to choose a charity to support each year, in addition to donating some of our profits and promoting payroll giving.
We actively work with the youth and health sectors, so supporting the fantastic work carried out by YCT was a natural choice for our staff.”
Paula Mann from the Youth Cancer Trust said: “Thanks to this amazing generosity we will be taking 16 youngsters from across the UK, some of whom are terminally ill, on an Ecorys sponsored `well being break` in July to our holiday house in Bournemouth.”
